Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for design and delivery within their own category in line with best practice procurement processes. The role will involve effectively building and maintaining successful business relationships with suppliers and stakeholders in order to be able to deliver savings, value improvement and best commercial to Sainsbury’s.
Requirements
- A proven track record of delivery within category area
- Graduate calibre with proven buying experience and a proven track record of delivering cost saving targets
- Detailed technical knowledge with experience of categories
- Commercial awareness and analytical thinking skills
- Effective communicator and networker
- Evidence of Leadership Behaviours:Customer and Market Focus, Accountability for Results, and Influencing
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Demonstration of Technical Skills including Negotiation Knowledge and Cost Structure Knowledge
- Information Management & Systems experience
