Birmingham procurement conference arranged

An energy procurement conference will take place at the National Motorcycle Museum in Birmingham next month.

The Energy Event annual exhibition will be running seminars on September 10th and 11th on how professionals with procurement jobs can save energy and operating costs by applying energy management to their buildings and processes.

The event, which is sponsored by Total Gas and Power, will also feature experts from the Energy Information Centre offering advice to delegates on purchasing strategies to manage market exposures.

Conferences and seminars will also be hosted by the Energy Services and Technology Association; the Major Energy Users Council; Envirowise; the Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers; and the British Compressed Air Society.

Last week, a food logistics manager at Marks & Spencer insisted that supply chain companies can make their operations environmentally friendly while still maintaining economic growth.
