Manufacturer implements supply chain technology

A major manufacturer of Torque tools has revealed that it will be utilising innovative supply chain technologies.

Provided by Access Supply Chain, Norbar will use the new ERP platform not only to improve shop floor visibility, but also to help spur quicker business growth.

Using the software will allow Norbar to better handle its production operations and streamline manufacturing processes.

Ann Marie Paddock, finance manager and project leader at Norbar, said: "Access Supply Chain took such a thorough, consultative sales approach, that it almost felt like 'try before you buy'

"Their implementation team have continued to give excellent support as we configure the system."

One of the long-term effects of employing the system could also be the creation of supply chain jobs, as professionals are increasingly needed to operate such technology.

In other news, the sales broker Jenk recently announced that it would be turning to Wincanton to streamline its supply chain operations.
