The procurement spend of Barnet Council has been published online, revealing all expenditure over £500.
Barnet Council paid out £94 million to a variety of vendors for a range of items during the second quarter of 2010.
The publication of procurement spending details comes after the coalition government set out early on that it wanted all councils to publish details of all expenses valued over £500.
In addition, councils have to publish full details of all contracts and tender documents in full.
Council leader Lynne Hillan said that publishing expenditure online is part of the drive to make all public bodies more accountable.
"I think it's only fair and reasonable that in the current climate residents are given the opportunity to scrutinise where their council tax is being spent and, ultimately, bring down costs," she explained.
She added that the information is in a "pretty raw state" and has invited residents to suggest ways to publish it more clearly.
