Head of Supplier Management

The Role

Our client, a major player in the fleet solutions market, is seeking to recruit a Head of Supplier Management to join their team.

The postholder will be responsible for:

• Delivering all operational services ensuring that they continue to provide high quality, cost effective solutions to clients both internally and externally.
• Manage the procurement process of core goods and services for the organisation.
• Select suppliers who are aligned to the organisations core strategy and mission.
• To identify and implement new service initiatives for the client base in conjunction with business development, and marketing/account management functions.
• To provide day to day guidance and support to the business development and account management functions.
• To control costs by effective negotiation of supplier contracts whilst maintaining high levels of service delivery.
• To provide technical support on contract and tender negotiations, participate and take responsibility for the whole tendering process.
• Manage employees within the Supplier Management function monitoring the performance of the team.
• Reports directly to Board.

Candidate Requirements

• Extensive Supplier Relationship Management or Procurement experience.
• Strong negotiation skills.
• Proven project management skills.
• Experience developing people of all levels.
• Degree educated or equivalent.
