Global Category Manager Legal Services

The Role

A fantastic opportunity has arisen within the corporate services team to manage the Legal Services area of spend on a global basis. Based in Wilmington DE, you will work in a complex, high spend environment, involving the implementation of strategic procurement activities. The key areas of focus for this role is to work with the category leaders; account management team and key customers to ensure successful implementation of strategic sourcing decisions and service deliver against day-to-day buying activities. You will also to act as an expert in the application of world class strategic sourcing techniques, with the ability to educate and guide your team in the day-to-day application across the Legal Services spend area. You will be accountable for the line and performance management of a Procurement team of Sourcing Managers and Buyers.

Candidate Requirements

-Legal Services procurement experience
-Excellent engaging, influencing and challenging style with executive customers, you will be confident and will represent Procurement well.
-Clear leadership capability – able to mentor and develop your team
-Working knowledge of professional procurement processes, ability to lead customers & suppliers through effective sourcing strategy
-Track record of delivering good complex service contracting
-Delivery focused, self-starter, results orientated
-Good holistic view, line of sight to greater impact & value delivery
-Keen to seek, absorb and use external market knowledge and internal business awareness
-Blue chip global contracting experience
