The Environment

Purcon embraces the concept that businesses should take a leading role in minimising their impact on the Environment. Purcon acknowledges its own environmental impact and is now actively working towards an environmentally friendly space in its headquarters and at its associated group company offices. The fundamental principle is that Purcon is committed to best environmental practice with particular reference to: -

  • Reducing CO2 emissions and to minimise our CO2 impact
  • Creating greener personal and business travel initiatives for employees
  • Recycling material wherever possible
  • Reducing printing and paper usage
  • Dramatically cutting down the use of plastic bags
  • Ensuring energy conservation and prioritise energy efficiency
  • Reducing the amount of waste created
  • Operating in a manner which is socially responsible

In order to achieve these aims, we have implemented company directives including specific policies relating to office waste and energy conservation. Purcon will:

  • Consider environmental consequences of decision making in the longer term.
  • Work together to achieve 'green' results.
  • Establish targets to achieve through personal environmental practice.
  • Create ongoing employer awareness to the project and policy.
  • Encourage 'green practice' across the Oxinia Group.
  • Monitor our environmental performance.
  • Ensure commitment from all staff.

As a support services organisation, Purcon has a relatively low impact on the environment; however, we recognise the need to minimise the impact as far as possible. We have taken and are in the process of implementing a number of measures to identify how best to reduce our emissions and to take direct action to do so.
